Lee Glass Supporting AquAid

At Lee Glass and Glazing, we understand the importance of keeping our team well-hydrated with fresh water at clearly marked points in the office. Even mild dehydration can lead to reduced concentration and increased fatigue. After reviewing various water suppliers, we decided to work with AquAid to supply us with water at our Sherwood and Bulwell branches.

Working with AquAid has also given us the chance to help support The Africa Trust as a donation is automatically made with every purchase we make. The funds raised have been going towards the installation of ‘Elephant Pumps’. These pumps are a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system. One such pump sponsored by Lee Glass has been installed in Manicaland – a province in the North-Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe and it will provide clean and fresh drinking water for many.

Our company’s name will be displayed on our well and we hope that it serves the community for a long time to come.

So far, AquAid have built over 8,000 Elephant Pumps across parts of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
